Resurrection of Jesus gives hope
Jesus Christ came to save the sinners. He was punished for our iniquities, sins and transgressions. He suffered all through his ministry. Lastly, He was mocked, beaten, bruised, tortured and crucified by his enemies and even one-time friends. He disciples even distanced themselves.
But Jesus was resurrected on the third day, receiving all power and authority in heaven and earth to give us in His name.
Mary, who was supposed to see the resurrected Jesus first, tried to cling to Him. But Jesus told her not to touch Him, as He has not ascended to heaven yet to meet the Father.
This gives us belief if we believe in Him we will also be resurrected and go to heaven to meet the Father. In the resurrected body we will eat with God, as Jesus ate with the disciples.
Jesus asked 3 times Peter if he loved Him more than. All the 3 times he replied yes, yes, yes. If so you give your life for the lambs and sheep. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but get everlasting life. It is more blessed to give than to receive. Love gives, greed takes by force (Sunday message in House of Prayer, on 31.3.13).
